Savings stub value in France, Livret A obviously gives the LA. Including for insurers and their funds in euros, the star support of life insurance.
Despite all the incentives from banks, brokers and insurers to invest in risk funds (units of account) of life insurance, the euro fund and its capital guarantee at any time still weigh 60% of the 1890 billion euros savings managed in life insurance. Besides, the Livret A and its 369 billion euros remains a drop in the ocean…
Insurers who must meet the 3% of the booklet A
Despite this apparent imbalance, the most widespread investment is and remains the Livret A since nearly 9 out of 10 French households have at least one, compared to two out of five households for life insurance. The rebound of its rate 3% net of tax in February cannot leave insurers impassive. After falling to 1.28% on average in 2021, the returns on euro funds have actually rebounded, in number and very significantly in 2022 reaching 1.91% on average. The remuneration even reached 2.30% like Boursorama Vie or LCL Vie or even 2.50% for the MACSF RES Multisupport contract or 2.80% for Garance pargne.
These are the average rates of return on funds in euros calculated each year by the ACPR.
