Life insurance, SCI… The unusual details of the assets of Gabriel Attal, new Prime Minister

This Tuesday, Gabriel Attal became the youngest head of government in the history of the Republic. At 34, he also has considerable assets with life insurance estimated at nearly 1.5 million euros.

Gabriel Attal is not only the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the Republic since Tuesday, but he is also the head of a solid heritage.

According to the elements of its declaration of assets situation filed on June 21, 2023 with the High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life (HATVP), he has two life insurance policies General Society, now renamed SG. The value of the first contract was estimated at nearly 1.5 million euros, and the second 160 euros.

Few banking products except the PEL

The one who was still Minister of National Education this morning, has other banking products with SG. Starting with his current account in which there was 1271 euros at the end of June 2023. He also has a Livret A with 181 euros on it and a savings account with 27 euros!

On the other hand, his Housing Savings Plan is filled to the tune of 36,454 euros according to his declaration of assets situation. Gabriel Attal also has a Stock savings plan with only 100 euros in his cash account.

Furthermore, SG granted him a loan in June 2017 ultimately of 670,000 euros. This is a cash credit renewable annually by tacit agreement, specifies the declaration. Credit ultimately has a particular operation since the repayment of the capital is only made at the maturity of the credit in one go. The other chances are only used to pay interest and insurance. During the HATVP declaration, it is indicated by Gabriel Attal that the sum remaining to be repaid from this loan in fine is 670,000 euros.

A loan of 50,000 euros agreement

On the real estate front, Gabriel Attal has 11% of the shares in a real estate company, or SCI, which has owned since 2022 a detached house of 110 square meters whose acquisition price is 1.2 million euros. The 11% of the shares of the new Prime Minister are therefore theoretically worth 130,000 euros.

Among the other unusual details of Gabriel Attal’s statement, we learn that he is the owner of a Scooter Vespa 50 of the brand Piaggio purchased for 2600 euros in 2014 and whose market value is estimated at 1000 euros. We also learn that he granted a loan of 50,000 euros in May 2023 even if the declaration does not specify the name of the beneficiary.
