Lightning recipe for vanilla crescents

Ingredients for about 80 pieces

For the croissants

  • 1 knife sp. baking powder
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 125 grams ground almonds
  • 200 grams of butter, cold and in pieces
  • 125 grams of sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar

To theDecorate

  • 50 grams of powdered sugar
  • plus some flour for rolling out

preparation

  1. Knead all the ingredients for the croissants well with the dough hook of the hand mixer or with your hands until a homogeneous dough is formed.

  2. Divide the dough in half, flatten with your hands and place in the fridge for about half an hour.

  3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat (160 degrees fan oven). Then roll the halves of the dough on a lightly floured work surface into rolls about the thickness of a pencil.

  4. Cut small four to five centimeter long pieces from the rolls and form them into croissants. Place the vanilla crescents on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 10 minutes.

  5. Turn the cooled croissants in powdered sugar and enjoy.

Tip: You can either eat the finished vanilla crescents straight away or keep them cooled in a cookie jar.
