Lyon coach Fabio Grosso came to thank the northern bend ultras for their support after the draw against Metz (1-1), Sunday during the 11th day of Ligue 1.

The Lyon players, looking for a first victory this season, were widely whistled by the Kop Nord of the Groupama stadium after the match. But their coach Fabio Grosso saw his name chanted by these same supporters when he went to meet them a few moments later.

“We won’t give up”

Cheers which echo the support received by the Italian technician this week after the attack on the OL bus on Sunday in Marseille and the facial injuries he suffered. “It’s not up to you to be here in front of us today,” the “Bad Gones” capo explained to him, pointing out the absence at the stadium of OL owner and president John Textor, while the club is last in Ligue 1 with four points.

Fabio Grosso still spoke in front of the ultras to thank them for their support. “I tell you all the time: you are truly special. We will not give up. Thank you for everything. We did everything to get this victory today (Sunday). I promise you that we will give everything and I I hope this will be enough,” he said.

Tuesday, for the resumption of training, which he did not lead, a large banner was hung at the entrance to the training center by the Virage Nord group. On Sunday, before the match, several banners, including one above the club shop, at the entrance to the Groupama stadium but also all around the stands, were displayed with the words “Maintenance objective”
