Ligue 1: great operation from Montpellier to Nice!

by Sebastien Salpietro (iDalgo)

Montpellier carried out a magnificent operation by winning on the pitch of OGC Nice at the opening of the 25th day of Ligue 1 this Friday evening. Faced with courageous Montpellier residents, the Gym never found the solution to be dangerous despite having been very present in the opponent’s last 25 meters for more than an hour. The outcome of this meeting was finally decided in the first period. Todibo scored against his side to open the scoring for the Héraultais (10′). Boga equalized thirty seconds later to restart the game, but it was ultimately Savanier who had the last word from the penalty spot (42′). With this success, the Héraultais leave the red zone and climb to twelfth place, two units behind the first relegated Le Havre. The bad series continues, however, for Nice, which has not won in six games and remains fifth, two lengths from the podium. Lens could even pass the Aiglons if they succeed this weekend.
