Angers lost control at home against Lens (2-1) on Sunday in Ligue 1 during a 26th day marked by actions in support of Ukraine.
In Angers, goalkeeper Danijel Petkovic had an ordeal. Dazzled by the late afternoon sun on two innocuous crosses from his left, he was surprised in quick succession, conceding two goal gags (73rd, 76th) synonymous with defeat for the SCO.
Lorient leaves the red zone, Bordeaux still stuck
Opposite, Lens did not ask for so much but found themselves 6th in the standings, overtaking Nantes, hanging on to Metz (0-0). Angers chained his side a 5th loss in a row.
In the other matches, Lorient came out of the red zone by beating Brest (1-0), while Clermont and Bordeaux drew (1-1).
For Lorient, the light came from Kone (73rd), who came into play three minutes earlier in place of Moffi.
Reduced to ten from the 29th minute after Brendan Chardonnet’s red card, Brest did not have the weapons to do better today.
The Merlus come out of the red zone to climb to sixteenth place while Brest is 12th.
In Clermont, the Bordelais chained a fourth game without a win (1-1). However, they had managed to open the scoring thanks to Joshua Guilavogui (13th), well served by Gregersen.
The Clermontois quickly returned to the game through Rashani (32nd) but failed to secure victory in a disjointed match.
Finally, no goal between Metz and Nantes at Saint-Symphorien in a close match where the Messins failed to endanger Lafont (0 shots on target). For their part, the Nantes people failed to capitalize on their resounding victory last week against PSG.
