Losing in the Coupe de France cost two Ligue 1 coaches dearly. On Monday, Lucien Favre, the coach of OGC Nice and Julien Stéphan, that of RC Strasbourg, were dismissed by their respective clubs. Favre pays for the elimination of the Riviera club in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France against Le Puy (1-0), National club, this weekend. In Ligue 1, Nice is only 11th. Didier Digard will take over on the Nice bench. In Alsace, Julien Stéphan was laid off on Monday, three days after the elimination of Strasbourg by Angers in the Coupe de France (0-0, 4-5 on tab). After a very convincing season, concluded in 6th place in the championship, the RCSA is in difficulty this year by pointing to the penultimate rank. Mathieu Le Scornet, Stéphan’s assistant, replaces him immediately.
