Ligue 1: Marseille held in check by FC Nantes

The Marseillais remain undefeated, but only leave Beaujoire with a small point. On the occasion of the opening of this fourth day of Ligue 1, Nantes received the Phocaeans. Impossible to decide, the two teams left in a draw (1-1). Although OM started their match very well with Sarr’s opener in the 4th minute, the Olympians failed to take advantage of the expulsion of Nantes player Bastien Meupiyou five minutes later to sink the Canaries. At the very end of the first period, it was Nantes who even took the lead by equalizing through Mostafa Mohamed (39′). Despite numerous attempts and a clear domination of Marseille in the second half, the two teams leave with a score of parity. If OM retain their first place in the general classification (8 points), Marcelino’s players have lost precious points this evening.
