For the return of Ligue 1 Uber Eats and the opening of the 18th day, Olympique de Marseille and Racing Club de Strasbourg separated with a score of parity (1-1). However, the Olympians got off to a good start by opening the score in the second minute of play, thanks to captain Samuel Gigot. Except that Gennaro Gattuso’s men faded away as the match progressed, allowing the Alsatians to regain confidence before returning to the mark at the very end of the match thanks to Jeremy Sebas (90 + 2′). A well-deserved goal as Strasbourg dominated the second half. With this draw, OM (28 pts) made a bad move, but still passed Lille by climbing to fifth place in the French championship. Patrick Vieira’s men, for their part, remain ninth and are four points behind Europe, with 24 points on the clock.
