It is this Wednesday that SEGA And Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio organized the RGG Summit Fall 2023 and its western variation RGG Like a Dragon Direct, dedicated to the next two games in the license which have been promoted in parallel for a while. For now, itIt is especially Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth which has been in the spotlighthe who calls himself Ryu Ga Gotoku 8 in the Archipelago. To start, here is a new trailer dedicated to the scenario… almost 10 minutes long ! If you don’t want to know anything about this, scroll down to the bottom of the article.
We therefore find Ichiban Kasuga recounting his life on camera and stating thathe is looking for his mother in Honolulu, since part of the story will take place in Hawaii, for an obvious change of scenery. How did he end up there? Well, his life salaryman tidy in Yokohama where he asked Saeko Mukōda in marriage seems to have quickly ended and he will find an old acquaintance from the clan Seiryu, Jo Sawashirowho will ask him to go to Hawaii to find Akane. Except that nothing is going to happen as planned and that’s how he ends up naked on a beach and ends up at the police station… before running away and being caught by this good old man Kazuma Kiryuu.
The latter is apparently there on behalf of Daidoji, who took him in after he made people believe he was dead. The adventure on these new lands promises to be rich in twists and turns with many new characters, the local mafia called Barracuda and led by a certain Dwight played by Danny Trejo, who obviously fights using machetesa Chinese mafia also seeking Akane and more. RGGS seems to have enough under his belt since he does not hesitate to reveal a shocking detail: Kazuma Kiryuu has cancer. And as if that wasn’t enough, the mysterious v-tuber Tatara Hisoka will reveal that he is alive to the whole worldobviously with the aim of bringing him to the clan Seiryu as we see next. Masataka Ebina apparently aims at Second Great Dissolution yakuza. As you will have understood, the narrative content promises to be dense.
Part of the casting has also been revealedwhich will obviously be much larger with for example Gorō Majima once again present.

Do you want more ? A trailer of gameplay of 5 minutes shows us all the potential of this new episode. As Cloudhe will be able to travel on a segway in Hawaii, where the weather will be dynamic. The way fights RPG turn-based will be even more dynamic with the possibility of moving within a given perimeter to take the advantage, with the presence of Kazuma Kiryuu in the team that will be able to fight in real time once its combativeness is activated. Many crazy jobs will be available during these clashes: Samurai, Desperado, Geodancer, Pyrodancer, Housekeeper (who believes himself to PowerWash Simulator), Action Star (with a yellow outfit reminiscent of Bruce Lee), Sujimancer And Poundmates (which invokes faces known to the license). We will also be able to improve our friendship with 200 characters via theAloha Links. A ton of mini-games will also be included, including Take Crazy Delivery (between deliveries and freestyle by bike), Sujimon battles (have characters fight like a Pokemon), Miss Match (a dating app to get dates), karaoke and even old games from the publisher like SEGA Bass Fishing And SpikeOut. The video even shows us the presence of Mukku And Gachapinwell known in the Archipelago.

Finally, as you could see at the end of the videos, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released on January 26, 2024 worldwide on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Windows).

Hero Booster Pack
This pack allows you to increase the job rank and level of your group members by 1. Includes:
- Level Gain Set (Small);
- Workshop Crafting Set (Small);
- Job Level Gain Set (Small).
These consumable items grant enough XP to increase a character’s level by 1 and enough job XP to increase the rank of the corresponding job by 1. Note that these items will only grant the amount of XP necessary and are therefore particularly useful when characters are furthest away from gaining a level or rank. These items cannot be used by characters who have reached their maximum level or job rank.
Set of special jobs
This set contains the special Defender and Tennis Ace jobs.
- Male Job: Defender will be available to all male members of the group.
- Female Job: Tennis Ace will be available to all female party members.
To unlock the Defender job, Kasuga’s Self-Confidence level must be greater than or equal to 6. To unlock the Tennis Ace job, Kasuga’s Charisma level must be greater than or equal to 6.
