Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth shows melancholy with the trailer dedicated to Kazuma Kiryu

THE “Bucket List Story Trailer“, which could be translated as “trailer for the story of the bucket list” (much less sexy, right?), places Kazuma Kiryu in the spotlight. After coming in helps almost all of Japan single-handedly, Kiryu sees himself at a turning point in his existence. All his acquaintances – or almost – are busy making him understand that he must give meaning to the actions he has accomplished so far. ‘now, to finally be able to find inner peace.

More Jdrama than chanbara

This BBucket List poses a much more melancholy, even dramatic atmosphere than that of the trailers to which we have been treated until now for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Kiryu is presented as at the end of his rope, tired, almost worn out by his life as a yakuza. The time of reckoning is approaching for him, and it is no longer really a question of fighting and settling scores, but rather of introspection.

Like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the hero of this episode will once again be Ichiban Kasuga. The story will take its place in Hawaii, the sunny finery of Honolulu will replace the streets bathed in luminous neon lights of Kamurochô. The turn-based combat of the previous episode will still be in place, with the usual Yakuza-esque formula: tons of secondary activities, endless side quests, and mini games, some of which will make the part of the former glories of SEGA (including Spike Out), and we will even be entitled to Animal Crossing like with RGG sauce. The title is scheduled for January 26, 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5.

The curious and die-hard fans of the franchise can take a look at the stream Ryu Ga Gotoku Special Roundup Like a Dragon Day broadcast on December 8 at midnight on the SEGA Twitch channel.
