The relationship between Microsoft and SEGA is in good shape. This is why the Japanese publisher chose the Xbox Game Showcase to host the first images of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s next baby, which will follow the story of two former yakuza Kasuga Ichiban and Kazuma Kiryu, will be released in early 2024.
For the eighth installment of the saga Like a Dragonthings don’t seem to be going well for ichi. Here he is waking up naked on an American beach, with no idea what he’s doing there. Knowing the franchise and its storylines, it’s not hard to imagine him stranded in California after being drifted, thrown from a ship that was sailing the Pacific Ocean.
But how did it get there? What mess has he gotten himself into again? Why naked? How will the stories of Ichiban and Kiryu connect? And with Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, a spin-off that will be released at the end of the year? The beginning of an answer to these questions should most certainly arrive during the RGG Summit scheduled for Friday, June 16 at 5 a.m. The developers of RGG Studio should notably reveal the first information on the title there. And why not some gameplay images.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released on PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 in early 2024.
