Lille: a 17-year-old teenager indicted for the murder of a retired nurse: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

It was a terrible tragedy which played out on Wednesday October 18, 2023 in the Bois-Blancs district, in Lille. Fabienne, a 68-year-old retired nurse, was brutally murdered in her home. Having surprised an individual in the middle of an attempted theft while she was going to the gym in the morning, the victim allegedly died after being stabbed in the throat. According to our colleagues at The voice of the North, marks of stab wounds were also noted on her legs and pelvis, suggesting that she struggled. However, the autopsy did not reveal any sexual assault. It was Fabienne’s ex-husband, who came to visit her that morning, who found her lifeless body just a few minutes after the murder. A suspect was arrested the same evening.

Placed in pre-trial detention, the minor risks up to 30 years in prison

Alerted by screams, an elderly neighbor of Fabienne surprised her attacker without being able to intervene. Finally, a suspect was arrested during the night, around 3 a.m., while he was looking for a place to sleep.
