After five years of separation, Lilly Becker and Boris Becker are now officially divorced. In an exclusive interview with RTL, Lilly Becker now finds honest words about her state of mind. How does the final end of your marriage feel?
Sharlely “Lilly” Becker, 47, and Boris Becker, 55, have not been a couple since 2018, and their divorce was a long process. Now both parties are said to have agreed to the papers. The divorce is therefore officially finalized – a full five years after the separation. She reveals how the ex-wife of tennis legend Boris Becker is doing after the lengthy court proceedings and with the official end of their shared life RTL.
Life in the spotlight remains even without Boris
RTL met Lilly Becker at Oktoberfest. There she attended the event “Oktoberfest stroll” her friend Cathy Hummels. The 47-year-old is still looking for the spotlight. With success. Because Lilly Becker is a welcome guest on the red carpets even without her famous ex-husband. In this regard, your everyday life will probably change little. Lilly Becker on the divorce: “It’s the end of an era”
Although Lilly didn’t always have good words for her ex-husband, she now expresses herself almost wistfully about the time she spent with Boris: “It’s just over – a bit strange. It really started beautifully with television. It’s a shame how that turned out is,” she says. Then the Dutch-born woman adds: “I feel a bit sorry for him and also for me. Nobody thought that, but I think it’s just the end of an era and he too can marry his girlfriend now.” Seems like the model looks back on marriage with both a laughing and a crying eye. She doesn’t hold any grudges. On the contrary: she even hopes that her ex-husband will have a chance to rebuild his life – even if she no longer plays a major role in it.
Son Amadeus is the link
Even if both of them now have new partners and finally want to look to the future, they won’t be able to separate completely from each other. Finally, there is their son Amadeus, 13, who connects the ex-couple. Despite the amicable divorce, disputes recently arose over maintenance payments, which Boris was not supposed to meet. So it seems like it’s not quite over yet. It remains to be seen whether the Becker names will continue to appear together in the headlines.
