Lilly Becker has revealed how she and her son Amadeus are coping with Boris Becker’s prison sentence. They would “help each other”.
Lilly Becker (45) spoke again in an interview about Boris Becker’s (54) prison sentence. The former tennis star is in prison for delaying bankruptcy. A London court sentenced him on April 29 to two years and six months in prison. Telling their son Amadeus (12) about it was “the worst” thing I ever had to do for Lilly Becker, she told the Daily Mail. The twelve-year-old was “stunned” by the news.
In the meantime, however, he is doing “better”: “He asks questions: ‘What will dad eat? Will he be able to watch films?’ I just have to answer as best I can,” the model continued. The situation was “not fair to Amadeus”: “He struggled with our separation for years, it was bad, and he had finally come to terms with the fact that mom and dad were no longer together. And now this.”
Cleaning as a distraction
How does Lilly Becker cope with her life, which she now denies as a “single mother”? “I clean like crazy. You should see how much bleach I use,” said the 45-year-old. Her vacuum cleaner also suffers: “My poor vacuum cleaner! In the four years since Boris and I broke up, I’ve had five of them.”
However, there are also positive sides: The “best” thing about the situation is that her son has “become her best friend”. “We help each other,” she explained.
Lilly and Boris Becker married in 2009, and their son Amadeus was born the following year. The two have been separated since May 2018. The tennis legend is now in a relationship with political risk analyst Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro. From 1993 to 2001 Becker was also married to Barbara Becker (55). From this marriage came the sons Noah (28) and Elias (22). In addition, Boris Becker has a daughter Anna Ermakova (22).
