German studio best known for a few installments in the franchise Might and Magic and Tropic 6edited by Kalypso Media, Limbic Entertainment currently developing Park Beyondan amusement park management game unveiled at the gamescom 2021 and expected next year.
The title is this time edited by bandai namco and it seems that the collaboration between the two studios is going very well. Already a minority shareholder of the developer, bandai namco announces today that it is now the majority shareholder of Limbic Entertainment. The publisher’s goal is to expand outside of Japan. Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europeadds:
This investment is much more than a strategic decision for Bandai Namco. With Stephan Winter, Alexander Frey and their teams, we share the same values and the same passion for games. For 3 years, we have been working together to create new IPs. The first Park Beyond game will be released in 2023, but there’s plenty more to come. This investment is just the continuation of our existing relationship, and we will help Limbic become the new benchmark in strategy and simulation games.
The editor explains that Limbic Entertainment will be able to benefit from all its expertise “in terms of back-office, publishing and distribution”something to delight Stephan Winter, co-founder and CEO of the development studio:
