The Lime group is deploying (in the United States) a new fleet of electric two-wheelers called Citra.

For now, this is a pilot program being tested in the city of Long Beach, California.

Lime deploys its Citra fleet

We are delighted to introduce Citra, our latest innovation in our range of shared, affordable and emission-free vehicles. Lime explains in a blog post. The operator, already well known to fans of electric scooters and bicycles, is indeed testing a brand new machine, 100% electric of course, near Long Beach in California.

Aesthetically, Citra is a mix between a bicycle and an electric scooter. A fairly thin silhouette so bike style, but no pedals here, in favor of a handful of acceleration, like on a scooter. There is also a small storage locker in the back, turn signals, a (real) horn, not to mention tires and a saddle much thicker than on a bike, to ensure optimal comfort.

A surprising vehicle, which is currently undergoing experimental testing in the United States, before (perhaps) being deployed in other major cities around the world. It remains to be seen whether this pilot project carried out in Long Beach will be able to convince users, but it must be admitted that this new Citra vehicle is not lacking in arguments.
