Linda Evangelista, 56, has to cope with a painful loss: her best friend Sue is dead. The former supermodel shares the tragic news with her fans via Instagram and expresses her deep sadness with emotional lines.
Linda Evangelista mourns the loss of her best friend
Linda Evangelista posts several pictures on her Instagram account that show the deep bond she had with her best friend. Because a picture in which both women can be seen should be many years old. More recent snapshots show Sue hiking and on the beach.
“Today we buried my best friend Sue. At the moment I have no words because the pain is too deep,” writes the 56-year-old. Evangelista doesn’t reveal how Sue died, but promises: “I’ll update this post soon.”
Her former colleagues stand by her side
Not only her fans, but also her former model colleagues immediately leave sincere condolences. “I am so sorry, […] Thinking of you and sending love to you and Sue’s family,” writes Naomi Campbell, 51. “I know you’ve been by her side during this time and I’m sure she was very grateful to you. Sending you so much love,” commented Christy Turlington, 53. Helena Christensen also expresses her sympathy under the post.
The former supermodels already stood by Linda Evangelista in February when the 56-year-old appeared in public again after several beauty procedures that went wrong. She revealed to “People” that she hardly dared to go outside because of what she called her “brutally disfigured” appearance. At that time, Campbell and Co. gave her courage. And even in these difficult times, the top models are there for Evangelista.
