Linda Hamilton: After "Dark Fate" she has had enough of the "Terminator" series

When Linda Hamilton's (63) return to the "Terminator" universe became known, fans of the sci-fi series were amazed. But after "Terminator: Dark Fate" there was little to no sense of this euphoria – despite solid reviews, the film by director Tim Miller (55) flopped at the box office. And Hamilton seems to want to finally turn his back on the franchise after the disappointing performance of the youngest branch, as the US side "The Hollywood Reporter" has revealed.

When asked if she hoped her character Sara Connor would return, Hamilton replied: "I would be very happy to never return. So no, I have no hope because I would love to be done with it." She narrowed her testimony further and said that the film series still had its reason to exist and, in her opinion, should "shrink" – "where not so many millions (dollars, ed.) Are at stake." It only had to be left with little doubt that this process would take place without her.

"Dark Fate", in which Arnold Schwarzenegger (72) also participated, grossed around $ 260 million worldwide. With a budget of $ 185 million, not including advertising costs, he is estimated to have made over 100 million dollars in misery, making it one of the biggest flops of the past year. Since then, the future of the well-known franchise has been pending.
