“Tagesschau” is not getting a new face
There is no successor for Linda Zervakis in the “Tagesschau”.

Linda Zervakis has said goodbye to the “Tagesschau”. However, according to the NDR, your position will not be filled.
Linda Zervakis (45) was last seen in the “Tagesschau” at the end of April. The news anchor moves to ProSieben and will be presenting a new journal there from autumn together with Matthias Opdenhövel (50). But what will happen to your position at the “Tagesschau”? Apparently there will be no successor for Zervakis.
An NDR spokeswoman said the “Bild” newspaper: “Until the end of 2020, the team of speakers for the main edition of the ‘Tagesschau’ at 8 pm consisted of six people. Then it grew to seven. After Linda Zervakis left, the number of speakers was back to six. This team size is sufficient. ”
After Jan Hofer (69) left in December 2020, Jens Riewa (57) became chief spokesman for the “Tagesschau”. The other current speakers for the main edition are Susanne Daubner (59), Thorsten Schröder (53), Judith Rakers (45), Constantin Schreiber (41) and Julia-Niharika Sen (54).
