The DIY hack Lipical supplies sensitive lips with sufficient moisture. This is behind the beauty trend.

The right lip care can work wonders: A clean make-up look is particularly popular right now – this also includes well-groomed lips. There are numerous videos on the subject of lip care on social media. A beauty hack called Lipical is particularly popular. You can now find out what’s behind it and how your lips can become naturally beautiful.

Lipical beauty trend: the facial for the lips

A lipical is a regenerating care for dry and chapped lips that cares for and repairs sensitive areas. The name comes from “Facial”, the English term for a facial treatment in which the skin is intensively treated and cared for. Such a treatment was missing for the lips – until now! Lips can become cracked or dry out for a variety of reasons, including a lack of moisture. Instead of “just” applying lip care, the lips are treated in detail here. The beauty hack Lipical provides the sensitive skin on the lips with nourishing ingredients and thus restores the natural balance.

Lipical at home: You already have all the ingredients at home

This is how the trend works: You can easily make a regenerating lip mask yourself with just a few ingredients. Moisten the lips in need of care with a little water. Then use your finger to apply a light, quickly absorbing and fragrance-free moisturizing cream to the upper and lower lips. A hydrating serum is also great. To complete the lipical, dab a rich lip oil or Vaseline onto the moisturizer.

Vegetable fats like shea butter or cocoa butter are very occlusive, but petroleum jelly is the front runner. Its occlusive action locks in moisture, allowing it to escape more slowly, allowing the cream or serum underneath to reach its full potential. The skin underneath is intensively regenerated. Alternatively, you can use a rich lip balm for this step. This procedure should then be repeated for about three days at a time. If your lips are only slightly dry, an exposure time of 15 minutes is sufficient – you can also simply leave the products on your lips or leave them on overnight.

Make a lipical with a peeling effect – in simple steps

The moisturizing products can penetrate your skin even better if you remove dead skin cells beforehand. A lip scrub is the best choice for this. You can also make this yourself quickly and easily. For example, a lip scrub uses 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. The ingredients are mixed well in a bowl and then applied to the lips with a gentle massage. Leave the lip mask on for ten to 15 minutes and then gently rinse off with lukewarm water.

That is why regular care for the lips is important

If you take care of your lips regularly, you prevent them from drying out and cracking. Lip care products that contain moisturizing and nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil or beeswax are particularly suitable for this. Lip care should not be underestimated, even in summer, since strong sunlight in particular can damage the sensitive skin of the lips due to the UV rays. So always wear a lip balm with SPF during the day to avoid burning.
