Lipstick: This means that running edges are a thing of the past

The perfectly made-up kissable mouth can be so easy. With the right know-how, running lipstick edges are a thing of the past.

There is hardly anything more sensual than a red, well-formed kissable mouth. This is made up quickly – but the durability is another issue. Long work days, meals or the general stress of everyday life often end in ugly lipstick edges. It doesn't have to be. With the right make-up technique, the clean contour is retained for a long time, even on challenging days.

Proper care makes a big difference

The skin of the lips is very thin and therefore runs the risk of drying out quickly. The result is small grooves in which lipstick settles and leads to uneven color results. Regular brushing, for example with a soft toothbrush, and creams help keep the skin on the lips soft and even. Appropriate care in the form of a lip base, a balm, should also be applied before applying the lipstick.

Draw the desired lip contour

Before the opaque color of the lipstick comes into play, the lip contour is first highlighted. This not only has an aesthetic background, but also serves to protect against later bleeding. For this purpose, a lip liner is chosen that is as similar as possible to the desired lipstick color. If you want to be on the safe side, use the lip liner not only for the lip contour, but also fills the entire area of the kissable mouth.

Apply the paint in layers

Once the lip contour has been drawn, the lipstick can be applied with a small brush. It makes sense to stretch the skin of the lips a little while doing this so that small wrinkles disappear and the clay can be evenly distributed. Then carefully dab the lips with a cosmetic tissue and apply another layer. In order to achieve an intense and long-lasting color result, the procedure should be repeated two to three times.

Fix the result with powder

The kissable mouth shines. To ensure that it stays that way, the lipstick can finally be set with a transparent powder. This is also carefully applied to the lips with a brush. If you like it a little more glamorous, round off the styling with a balm or a shimmering gloss. However, care should be taken not to paint over the previously drawn lip contour.
