Finding the right lipstick can become an odyssey. It’s good that there are some classics that suit every skin tone. As the saying goes? One for all and all for one!

Gloss and go

We feel catapulted back into the 90s, although the history of the lip gloss goes back a few decades: Max Factor developed one of the first glosses in the early 30s to put a seductive shimmer on the lips of actresses. Whether applied alone or over your favorite lipstick: The little helper is now part of the standard equipment and is particularly good at warm times of the year and in everyday life. The lightness of gloss rounds off subtle summer make-up. You can recognize a high-quality lip gloss by the fact that it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling or pull strings.

Barely there

Admittedly … “One for all” is not child’s play here. Finding the right tone for yourself is probably the biggest challenge next to the right foundation – both depend on the color of the skin and the undertone. But when the going gets tough, a supposed bad purchase without the possibility of a return does not mean the end. If the lipstick is too light, it helps to first outline the lips with a darker lip liner and then to mix the two tones together by pressing and rubbing together. Too dark? Dab lightly, gloss over it and off you go!

Red hot chilli

Self-confidence, energy, strength. And always in vogue. The ideal red for all skin tones is between fire red and apple candy red. This leaves a lot of room for variation: for example, a black lip liner provides more fullness through the ombre look. Perfect for date nights or colder autumn days. Those who prefer a matt kissable mouth have to pay attention to the care. Since a lot of moisture is withdrawn, lip peels and masks should be used as a precaution.
