Lisa Marie Presley will forever mourn the loss of her son. The grief “destroyed” her heart. But there is also good news for them.

Lisa Marie Presley (54) spoke again on Instagram after a long break. In a long text she remembered her late son Benjamin Keough. He took his own life on July 12, 2020. Benjamin Keough was 27 years old.

“I haven’t posted for a while because there really isn’t much to say,” the singer writes, “because I mourn my son and always will.” Coping with the “disgusting grief that has almost completely destroyed and shattered my heart and soul” has “completely engulfed her”. Apart from her three daughters – the twins Finley and Harper (13) and actress Riley Keough (32) – she has little time or attention for anything.

But then the daughter of Elvis Presley (1935-1977) comes to the point of her post: the new film about her father. She praises “Elvis” by Baz Luhrmann (59, “Moulin Rouge”) in the highest tones: “Simply excellent”, she describes the film.

“Baz, your absolute genius combined with your love and respect for my father and this project is just so beautiful and inspiring,” she wrote in greeting to the director. She also celebrates the main actor Austin Butler (30). He “wonderfully embodied the heart and soul” of her father. If he doesn’t get an Oscar, she’ll eat her own foot.

Lisa Marie Presley only regrets one thing: that her son Benjamin couldn’t see the film. “He would have liked it too.”
