Lithuania delivered US surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine

KIEV (Reuters) – Ukraine received a batch of US Stinger anti-aircraft missiles from Lithuania on Sunday, Ukraine’s defense minister said.

Two other planes transported 180 tons of ammunition from the United States to Kiev on Sunday, added Olekse Reznikov.

In total, Ukraine has so far received 1,500 tons of ammunition delivered in 17 air rotations, the minister said on Twitter.

Military officials say Ukraine’s allies have recently supplied British and American anti-tank missiles and Turkish drones to the Ukrainian army, as the United States escalates warnings of the risk of a Russian invasion.
