Little Nightmares victim of a leak, a nice surprise is coming

The Little Nightmares license is enjoying some popularity today, and it obviously has a big surprise in store for us. And that doesn’t concern the third opus.

Little Nightmares is a horror franchise that has been very successful with players. Unfortunately, following the release of the second game, we were told that Tarsier Studios was not going to come back for a sequel. But that was without counting the intervention of the publisher, Bandai Namco, who sent Supermassive Games to take over. Today, we are entitled to a new announcement for the license, and it should please early fans.

Little Nightmares soon back on PS5 and Xbox Series?

The information we are reporting to you is due to a leak concerning the first opus Little Nightmares. An improved version of it has been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (or ESRB). The icing on the cake is that this edition is planned for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. This revelation joins a leak dating from last year, which came to us from the South African publishing and cinema council. So, even if it has not yet been officially confirmed, we almost no longer have to be cautious.

The listing tells us some rather interesting things. You can expect many graphical improvements, but not only that. The gameplay will also be optimized for its arrival on Sony and Microsoft consoles. Therefore, there will be no better time to embark on the adventure. Little Nightmares 1 immerses the player in the Maw, a place inhabited by nightmarish creatures. The goal is simple, you have to escape them and find a way to get out of this place. The universe is fascinating, like the horrors that we encounter throughout the game.

That said, one question is burning on the lips of Little Nightmares 1 owners. Yes, will there be a need to go back to checkout if we already have it on PS4, Xbox One and PC? This was not the case in the 2 which was entitled to a free update. So, it should – normally – not be here too. However, it is better not to get too far ahead, and wait for a statement from the publisher. In any case, it looks promising, and it would be a good excuse to restart the game.

And the third opus then?

As for the sequel, it should still arrive in 2024, but we do not yet have a precise release date. What we do know is that it will be possible to play solo, but also in cooperation with up to two players. This is a big first for the series, in addition to being a feature that was quite anticipated. At the same time, thanks to it, we will certainly have more complex puzzles. It’s also a great way to surprise veterans of the franchise. As a reminder, Little Nightmares 3 will land on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
