Little Orpheus postponed on the day of its launch, the publisher explains

Little Orpheus is the new game of The Chinese Roomalready well known for having developed Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs or Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. The title is available at Apple Arcadebut was due to arrive today on computers and home consoles.

Unfortunately, the publisher Secret Fashion just announced the postponement of Little Orpheus. No, this is not a technical problem discovered at the last moment, but the possibly sensitive subject of the game. Little Orpheus features the comrade Ivan Ivanovicha Russian sent to the center of the Earth recounting his journey to General Yurkovoi, in the 1960s, in the midst of the Cold War. But currently, Russia has all the spotlight on it following its invasion of Ukraine, the studio explains:

In light of recent world events, today’s launch of Little Orpheus on PC and console will be delayed.

Although Little Orpheus was originally released on Apple Arcade in June 2020 and does not directly reference recent world events, we recognize that some game themes and content may be disturbing to players at this time.

We thank you for your understanding and will share the information later.

The subject is sensitive, the publisher does not want to take any risks and has therefore decided to postpone the launch of Little Orpheus, to an indefinite date. The title is as a reminder expected on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. You can find cards NHP on Amazon.
