LIVE A LIVE: great notes from the English-speaking press for the HD-2D remake on Switch

Appreciated without being deemed essential, LIVE TO LIVE was only released in Japan on the Super Famicom in 1994 and invited players to discover an original story by following the adventures of 8 characters in as many different chapters. Square-Enix decided to give it a new youth with a remake HD-2Dreleased this Friday on Nintendo Switch.

What does the international press think? If some have reservations because of less interesting passages, a sometimes choppy pace and oddities inherent in retro games that can surprise, everyone is generally won over, as evidenced by the average of 82/100 on Metacritic. The eye-catching soundtrack and graphics as well as the original approach to storytelling and gameplay breaking the codes of RPG classics have indeed amazed many journalists.

If you want to take the leap, LIVE TO LIVE is available from €49.99 at Micromania.
