Olivier Faure assures that no socialist will enter the government
The First Secretary of the Socialist Party Olivier Faure said on Friday that he was sure that “no personality” from his party would enter Michel Barnier’s government, confirming that the latter would be the subject of an immediate motion of censure from the New Popular Front. “I think that no personality from the Socialist Party will be in his government, I have no doubt about that,” Olivier Faure declared on France Inter.
He confirmed that the left will file a motion of censure because “the choice made by the head of state is to place himself at the barycentre of the right and the extreme right”, which is “a democratic betrayal” in relation to the result of the legislative elections.
