According to an Elabe poll for BFMTV and L’Express, 59% of viewers judged that Emmanuel Macron was more convincing than Marine Le Pen during the debate between the two rounds on Wednesday evening. 39% of respondents think the opposite. However, one in two people judge that the behavior of the president-candidate was “arrogant” and 51% of those polled believe that Marine Le Pen is the one who wants “the most to change things”.
7:03 a.m .: After their debate, Macron and Le Pen return to the field campaign
The day after the debate between the two rounds and three days before the second round, Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen return to the campaign in the field. The outgoing president will be in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) to discuss urban renewal and state investment in suburban towns.
Marine Le Pen will end her campaign in Hauts-de-France, her favorite region. It will hold there, in Arras on Thursday evening, in Pas-de-Calais, its last major meeting of the campaign. Then, on Friday, the RN candidate will make a final trip near Abbeville, in the Somme, with a visit to a market and meeting with locals.
