12:08 p.m.: The service begins

The official state funeral begins. The Dean of Westminster, David Hoyle, will speak and invite the congregation to a first prayer. “We remember with gratitude her unwavering commitment to a high calling over so many years as Queen and Head of the Commonwealth,” he said, adding: “We remember with admiration her lifelong sense of duty and devotion to her people. With gratitude “We praise God for her enduring example of Christian faith and dedication. We remember with affection her love for her family and her dedication to the causes close to her heart.”

11:42 a.m.: The Queen’s coffin leaves Westminster Hall

Queen Elizabeth’s coffin leaves Westminster Hall. Her body is now being taken to Westminster Abbey in a procession, led by King Charles. Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, Peter Phillips and Prince Andrew are also accompanying the late Queen on her final journey.
