Bernadette herself took part in the marathon with the Samariterbund running group: “Shortly before the finish, I suddenly heard two women calling for help,” remembers the paramedic, who had only completed her training a few days earlier. Without hesitation, she rushed to help and – completely focused on what she had learned – resuscitated the motionless Viennese. “At a moment like this you have such tunnel vision that I no longer know how long the resuscitation took,” the Carinthian woman tells the “Krone”. “Three rounds with pumps,” she remembers that much.
