Three former dancers file a lawsuit against her

Did Lizzo and her team behave inappropriately towards several dancers? Three women have filed a lawsuit.
Three women who were formerly dancers for Lizzo, 35, have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against the singer, her company Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. and the head of her dance team. According to consistent US reports, the women accuse the 35-year-old of sexual harassment and creating a toxic work environment. as the industry magazine “Variety” writes, which was able to see the lawsuit. The singer and her team have not yet commented on the allegations.
Lizzo allegedly asked members of the team to touch naked dancers during a sex show in Amsterdam’s red-light district. She urged one of the plaintiffs to touch the breasts of one of the club’s dancers. The singer started a chant to incite the plaintiff. They refused three times. According to “Billboard” she finally gave inso that the chants fell silent.
Another time, the women were invited to a club without being told that there would be a cabaret with naked performers. The former dancers of Lizzo were deprived of the decision whether they wanted to participate.
It’s also about religion and private details
The head of the dance team allegedly wanted to impose her faith on the dancers and described one of the plaintiffs as an “infidel”. After learning that another of the plaintiffs was still a virgin, she raised the issue several times without consent – including in interviews and on social media.
After a performance, Lizzo, who campaigns for body positivity in public, also drew attention to the weight gain of one of the dancers. Although it was never explicitly stated, it was felt that one of the plaintiffs had to “explain this weight gain and disclose confidential, personal details about her life in order to keep her job”.
“The manner in which Lizzo and her management team treated their performers appears to be at odds with everything Lizzo publicly stands for,” said a statement from plaintiffs’ attorney Ron Zambrano. In private, the singer allegedly demeans her dancers in a way “that is not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing”.
