Subway partners with GenZ EV Solutions to implement ” electric vehicle charging oasis in the United States from 2023.

With the rise of electric vehicles comes an increased need for charging stations, and a new race to deploy as many of them as quickly as possible is raging. But, unlike gas stations which require a lot of space and special layouts, electric charging stations can easily be installed in various configurations. Many brands see it as an opportunity to enhance their parking spaces, and Subway is getting into the fray, but pushing the approach a little further.

An oasis 2.0

Supplying the thousands of Subway restaurants with charging stations could already be a major challenge and a major step forward in their distribution. But, the company sees broader. Like brands that hit the bull’s eye when the world was moving so fast it was going to run out of gas stations, Subway intends to carve out a place for itself in a future in which most of the traffic will be provided by electric vehicles.

In partnership with a company based in Miami, GenZ EV Solutions, it has developed a new concept of station. This will include charging stations, catering areas, rest and play areas, green spaces and Wi-Fi access. What is the difference with the existing motorway areas? The company is following in the footsteps of brands like Lidl, which generally already benefit from good locations and a guaranteed supply of customers.
