Loadmaster – Renault Kangoo: As a Grand version with extra length

Renault has sent its Kangoo high-roof station wagon to be extended. It now offers a highly variable interior in which 3,750 liters of luggage can be transported if necessary.

Renault will also bring the new edition of the Kangoo, introduced in 2021, onto the market at the beginning of 2024 as the Grand Kangoo with a significantly larger wheelbase. Exactly how many centimeters the long version grows by has not yet been revealed. However, the French mention the loading volume of the trunk, which is 500 liters with seven-seater seating. It can be expanded to 3750 liters and a loading length of 3.11 meters as long as the rear seats are removed and the passenger backrest is folded forward. For comparison: the normal Kangoo is 2.63 meters and 3,500 liters. Thanks to its versatile adjustable and foldable individual seats, over 1,000 different interior configurations should be possible, according to Renault. The three- or five-seater rear can be accessed via sliding side doors that have increased in length by 22 to 83 centimeters compared to the standard Kangoo. Renault describes the knee room of 16.4 centimeters in the third row as the best in class. For trunk access, there is either a one-piece tailgate that opens upwards or asymmetrical wing doors. Like the normal one, the Grand Kangoo can also be ordered in three engine variants. In addition to the diesel with 95 hp and the gasoline engine with 130 hp, the 90 kW/122 hp E-Tech Electric with a range of 265 kilometers is also available. Renault has not yet announced prices for the Grand. Given the base price of a good 29,500 euros for the short version, the long version should cost far more than 30,000 euros. (SPX)
