Loana: BFMTV the dead ad in error: Current Woman The MAG

The fans of Loana, the big winner of Loft Story, have been increasing fears for some time. After learning that the reality TV star was hospitalized Monday February 22 following an overdose, according to the columnist of Do not touch My TV Guillaume Genton, his admirers have just experienced a new hard blow: Friday February 26, 2021, BFMTV indeed announced his death by mistake. The website of the news channel, which had prepared an obituary to publish it as quickly as possible in the event of a tragedy, unfortunately put it online after a false manipulation. However, the editorial staff had planned everything by adding the mention "Do not publish" in capital letters before the title: "Death of Loana, first winner of Loft Story and pioneer of reality TV". The news was of course deleted shortly after this error, but it remained online long enough to be referenced on the Yahoo portal and on Google.

Internet users also hastened to screenshots and share them on Twitter. "Loana Petrucciani, known only as Loana and revealed by the very first reality show in France, Loft Story, has just died at 43", can we read there. "When BFMTV mistakenly released an article in public about the death of Loana while still alive", "Uh … that's what we call a dumpling!", "What is the level of incompetence to post a headline that says "DO NOT PUBLISH" ", "Be careful though!" they wrote, outraged.

A mistake often made

In 2019, it is The world who had made the same mistake. The national daily had indeed announced the death of former OM leader Bernard Tapie, who is still fighting cancer. A year later, in 2020, the newspaper The team had made the same dumpling. "The L’Équipe channel would like to apologize to Bernard Tapie and his family, as well as to his viewers, for the broadcast, by mistake, of false information", the channel had made known on Twitter. For now BFMTV did not apologize for Loana's obituary.
