Locke & Key: no season 4 for the Netflix series?

Netflix will not order a fourth season of “Locke & Key”, despite the success of the fantasy series with subscribers to the SVOD platform.

His success with subscribers could have ensured him a bright future. But it is indeed at the end of its third season (expected soon) that the Locke & Key series will end, adaptation of the comic-book signed Gabriel Rodríguez and Joe Hill (the son of Stephen King).

Behind the disappointment that this announcement will most certainly cause is actually a decision made logically by the platform and the creative teams of the series. Even before its launch, it had been thought of as a story spanning three seasons of 28 episodes. Thus, the decision to stop the production of the program will have no impact on the outcome of the plot, which will therefore be in line with the initial vision of its creators.

Launched in February 2020 on Netflix, Locke & Key follows the story of three children dealing with the traumatic death of their father. Leaving their native region to start a new life in the landscapes of Massachusetts, the trio moves in with their mother in a house full of many secret places, which can be accessed through magic keys…

Designed by Joe Hill from his own comic book, the series currently has two seasons, to be found now in full and exclusively on Netflix.
