Locke & Key on Netflix: “epic” or “not up to par”… internet users shared on the end of the series

One last turn of the key and then it’s gone. Locke and Key ended yesterday on Netflix with a season 3 which was hailed… despite some reservations.

Three short seasons and then go away. Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones), Body (Jackson Robert Scott) and the rest bid farewell in season 3 of Locke & Key which Netflix released yesterday. Fans didn’t wait to devour the 8 episodes that conclude this fantastic and epic saga. Many of them welcomed the end of the series (while drying their tears):

“The last visit to Key House was epic. I just finished watching it and I miss it already. I can’t believe there won’t be more seasons.”

“Locke & Key was a good show. Glad it ended on such a high note. One of Netflix’s best shows.”

“I can’t believe Locke & Key is over. I loved the ending but there’s so much to give us. Do a spin-off, there’s still more to do.”

“I finished season 3 in one go. I’m happy with the way the series ended and the lessons learned from it. I’m sad that this is the final season, I will really miss the Lockes .”

“Point of view: you just finished season 3.”

A satisfying but up to the task season

If the Lockes have completed their last mission with honors, many spectators have judged this season 3 below the previous ones. Most likely the fault of an uninspired and inspiring villain (played by Kevin Durant).

“I got to see the whole season of Locke and Key last week and it’s still going strong. But season 3 is probably the weakest. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. Seasons 1 and 2 set the bar so high that the third couldn’t match them.”

“Locke And Key ends and leaves us with the bittersweet feeling that this is a lame and far too simplistic version of a larger mythology.”

“I’m not going to lie to you, it was one of the dumbest endings for a series. Worse than Game of Thrones. Congratulations Locke & Key, you ended without much fanfare. The previous two seasons were better, you should have stopped there.”
