Lockheed Martin: conclusive test for its interceptor

(CercleFinance.com) – Lockheed Martin announces that for the first time, its PAC-3 MSE interceptor has succeeded in communicating with the AN/SPY-1 radar, a key element of the Aegis weapon system.

Lockheed Martin is investing in a PAC-3 MSE/Aegis integration that could provide a proven integrated air and missile defense capability with increasing capability to help maritime customers defend against advanced and maneuverable threats.

“A PAC-3 MSE/Aegis integration delivers enhanced defense to maritime fleets in a timely and affordable manner,” commented Tom Copeman, vice president, Naval Systems, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
