Lockheed Martin: Greece should buy 35 ‘Black Hawk’

(CercleFinance.com) – Lockheed Martin announces that the Greek government today signed a letter of offer and acceptance (LOA) formalizing its intention to acquire 35 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters built by Sikorsky, a company from Lockheed Martin, through the US government’s Foreign Military Sales system.

‘Approved and operated by more than 35 countries, including a growing number of NATO allies, the multi-role Black Hawk helicopter offers unrivaled global interoperability, significantly increasing Greece’s deterrence capability and that of all member nations of NATO,’ commented Paul Lemmo, President of Sikorsky.

In addition to the aircraft, the purchase also includes the training of personnel and training equipment to ensure the smooth integration of the helicopters into the Hellenic Army.
