(CercleFinance.com) – The US Army has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract for M299 launchers worth a total of $25.9 million. This contract provides M299 All Up launchers and spares support for US military and international customers.
The M299 launcher operates in harsh flight environments, with a digital design that allows interfacing with a variety of platforms. It has the ability to recognize and fire all variants of HELLFIRE and JAGM in any plausible sequence.
“The M299 launcher is the go-to solution for many aircraft and land platforms when it comes to defending, deterring and defeating current and future threats,” said Joey Drake, Air-to-Air Program Director. Ground Missile Systems.
With over 6,000 M299 launchers currently delivered, it is currently in service with 29 customers and has a specified operational reliability exceeded of 99% per mission.
