“Loft Story”: 20 years later, what has happened to lofters? : Current Woman The MAG

Twenty years. A beautiful age to be celebrated. On the occasion of the twenty years of Loft Story, well almost since the show really started on April 26, 2001, on M6, C8 offers a special evening, Loft Story, 20 years later! presented live and by whom it may concern: Benjamin Castaldi. The 51-year-old host himself hosted Loft Story. These were also his first bonuses. The ex-lofters of the first French reality TV show should meet on the set to evoke their memories. Should because the presence of the most famous of them is not guaranteed. Indeed, Loana Petrucciani was still recently hospitalized because of Covid-19.

Find out what happened to the candidates of Loft Story

Viewers will be able to see some of the lofters again. It must be said that things have happened in twenty years. Arrived in a program whose concept was completely unknown at the time, lock up eleven people and film them 24 hours a day, without the possibility of going out. These candidates, aged 20 to 29 at the time, had no idea what to expect. And even less of the huge impact the show would have on their lives. It is as real stars that Loana, Jean-Édouard, Christophe, Julie and their comrades came out.

Notoriety experienced more or less well

Christophe Mercy and Julie Bouville, who wanted to help Loana, won everything by participating in Loft Story. Not only Christophe won the game, with Loana, but he also found love with Julie. Twenty years later, they are still in a relationship and have two children, Matis, 18, and Solan, 11. Like them, most lofters have resumed the course of a normal life, far from the media. So, Delphine Castex multiplied the jobs, before settling in Tarbes with her husband, François Gomez, a female basketball coach and their three children. Laure de Lattre and Kenza braiga, who was the victim of insults and death threats, became journalists.

Others have had an artistic career, therefore inevitably more publicized. Jean-Edouard Lipa, who has had enough of being told about the scene in the swimming pool with Loana again, has turned to music and comedy. For his part, Steevy Boulay became a radio and television host, alongside his mentor, Laurent Ruquier. He also performed in plays. The notoriety of all these lofters has been experienced more or less well. It must be said that, like the title of their song, it is up and down. Sometimes more down than up.
