As mentioned above, the Logitech G Cloud, since that’s its name, does not claim to run games natively and presents itself as a gateway to the various subscription services that are Steam Link , Nvidia GeForce Now, Xbox Console Streaming and Xbox Game Pass, pre-installed on the console. This is why its technical architecture and its price are more modest than those of a Steam Deck for example.
The machine thus embeds a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, an LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1080p – which moreover did not convince the friend Furolith – and can therefore afford to resort to passive cooling much quieter than a good old fan. Logitech’s avowed objective is to offer an affordable device – 299 dollars for pre-order and 349 dollars once on sale – and light since the Logitech G Cloud weighs only 465 grams.
Finally, note that the manufacturer has made another curious choice, that of 802.11ac wifi connectivity, and is abandoning the use of 4G and 5G, intending its device for domestic use rather than truly nomadic use. For now, the Logitech G Cloud is only announced in the United States and Canada during the month of October. Marketing in other territories may be considered next year depending on the performance recorded in the North American market.
