Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed: lighter, more connected, more musical

After three years of good and loyal service, it was time for Logitech to renew the G Pro X Wireless, its high-end wireless gaming headset. The new G Pro X 2 Lightspeed takes the iconic design of its predecessor as well as its reinforced steel and aluminum construction. The weight has however been slightly reduced: count 345 g for the new helmet against 370 for the previous one. In addition, the ear cups can now be rotated 90° to facilitate wearing around the neck. A pair of leatherette pads and a pair of velor are included.

Aside from these few design changes, the G Pro X 2 Lightspeed features all-new speakers that promise richer, more accurate sound. The cardioid gooseneck microphone has also been revised. Always detachable and integrating BlueVo!ce technologies, it now has a wider bandwidth than its predecessor. The captured voice should therefore be rendered more accurately.

The G Pro X 2 Lightspeed also gains in connection possibilities. Where the old model was confined to a single proprietary 2.4 GHz connection, the new headset has a minijack input and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The headset is therefore compatible with all platforms but only works wirelessly – thanks to its USB dongle – on PC or with PS5 and PS4 consoles. The new proprietary Lightspeed 2.0 protocol is also included, significantly improving the signal range from 15 to 30 m. The autonomy has also been frankly revised upwards, going from 20 h to 50 h on this new G Pro X2 Lightspeed.

The G Pro X 2 Lightspeed will be available, in black or white, from June 13 at a price of €269. The old model will be maintained in the range and will keep its price of 229 €.
