Logitech in turn gives in to the temptation of AI with the mouse which launches a prompt faster than its shadow

Integrate a button directly on your mouse to call on AI? After all, why not, and Logitech is doing it.

It’s been a few long months now that generative AI has been part of our daily lives, and today it’s Logitech’s turn to present its way of using ChatGPT. This is the Logi AI Prompt Builder, which fits onto a special button on your Logitech mouse or keyboard.

ChatGPT also on board Logi Options+

If you have a Logitech keyboard or mouse, you are probably familiar with the Logi Options+ software. The latter allows you to add certain functionalities to the brand’s peripherals and will soon welcome “Logi AI Prompt Builder”.

This is a command aimed at integrating ChatGPT, which can be configured on any keyboard or mouse. The feature even gets a twist on the all-new Logitech M750 mouse, released in the US and UK.

“ The new Logi AI Prompt Builder is a new shortcut to AI for anyone who owns a Logitech mouse or keyboard compatible with Logi Options+ software and wants easy access to the limitless potential of AI », explains Delphine Donné on behalf of Logitech.

And so, how does it work?

Concretely, in one click, we can call on ChatGPT, which will allow us to summarize or reformulate a text, generate a response by e-mail, etc. Various settings are available to favor a certain tone, a certain length, a certain complexity , etc.

To take advantage of this, you must first upgrade your Logi Options+ software to version 1.70. From then on, the new Logi AI Prompt Builder function is available, and all you have to do is map it to the key or button of your choice.

Once called, the Logi AI Prompt Builder function brings up a window, and all you have to do is make your request. Note that at present, the functionality is only available in English, although this does not prevent it from functioning in French. Let’s see now when the latter will be located.
