There’s something new at Logitech! The manufacturer is renewing and expanding its MX Master range with two keyboards mechanical, the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini, and a new mouse MX Master 3S. Enough to satisfy those who wish to reconcile mechanical sensations with office automation!

After the MX Keys, also available in a “Mini” version, Logitech is expanding its range of office keyboards. On the menu: mechanical switches for the “ users of the ultimate productivity tools », Accompanied by an MX Master 3S mouse which gains in precision.

MX Mechanical: a silent mechanical strike

Offering all the advantages specific to the MX Master series, while calling on Logitech’s expertise in gaming keyboards. That’s to sum up the Swiss manufacturer’s proposal with its MX Mechanical and Mechanical Mini. It must be said that the announcement of these two mechanical keyboards is not the most surprising after the launch of the POP Keys, an office keyboard with an original design and also equipped with mechanical switches.

Intended for those who wish to rediscover the sensations of mechanical typing in a keyboard reserved for productivity, the MX Mechanical advances with a weighty argument in the jungle of peripherals: silence, or at least the reduction of nuisances compared to a classic mechanical keyboard. The manufacturer thus announces that these two new models are the ” quietest mechanical keyboards Logitech has ever made “. They are equipped with contactors developed for the occasion. Three types of switches are offered: linear, clicky and silent touch. It is naturally the latter which emits the least noise pollution.

We find what is a habit at Logitech, namely a double screen printing for special characters. It includes commands specific to Windows as well as to the macOS universe. The keyboard also has two-tone keys, these are two shades of gray that allow for better benchmarks. Finally, the intelligent functions of the MX Master series are still relevant, such as the backlight which adjusts the light intensity according to the ambient light and which turns off when it does not detect the hands of the user. user. Six lighting effects have been added to bring a bit of joy to the whole thing. The battery life runs up to 10 months without backlight and 15 days with it constantly on.

MX Master 3S: a more efficient sensor

Logitech’s flagship mouse changes little this year, which is probably why it’s not an MX Master 3S rather than a new version. The design and aesthetics don’t budge, but Logitech has made some welcome improvements to its mouse. First of all at the level of its optical sensor, which now has a maximum sensitivity of 8,000 DPI, a capacity twice as high as the previous iteration.

We still find the characteristics that make this mouse a must have : its side wheel and its controllable button with the thumb, its MagSpeed Electromagnetic wheel and its ergonomics ideal for right-handed people. Logitech adds to this clicks “ 90% quieter compared to an MX Master 3 “. This novelty can weigh on the balance when it comes to getting a new field mouse.

Both keyboards and mice work via the recent Logi Bolt dongle or via Bluetooth, while the Logitech Options+ software is responsible for bringing many features to this keyboard/mouse combo.
