Leader in the office device market, Logitech begins the year 2022 by unveiling a mouse
which has every chance of finding its place on our desks.
With the Signature M650, the idea is to offer a mouse available in several versions to meet the needs of a majority of users.
What size for your mouse?
With its Signature M650, Logitech may have found the right recipe to produce a mouse that has every chance of becoming a benchmark. Rather than being satisfied with one and only one version, the manufacturer has the good idea to decline its new mouse in two different sizes with a model with classic dimensions and a larger model with the Signature M650 L.
Good news for users with lumberjack hands for whom it is not always easy to find a perfect mouse. And if there is a second category of users who find it difficult to find a shoe to their feet, it is obviously left-handed people! Logitech does not forget them since a left-handed option is also on the program.
Here are the design choices that try to meet the greatest number, especially as the M650 will also have the right to its alternative “for Business”, while everyone should appreciate one of the three colors offered: graphite, pink and white broken.
A discreet and efficient mouse on paper
The different variants of this mouse are not its only strengths. The Signature M650 offers wireless operation, either via the Logi Bolt or Bluetooth receiver. It has two “soft” thumb buttons and rubber side handles to improve grip. Logitech highlights its scroll wheel SmartWheel scrolling supposed to offer speed and great precision, as well as the SilentTouch innovation which allows, according to the manufacturer, to reduce by 90% the noise pollution related to clicks compared to the Logitech M185.
We still know little about the technical characteristics of the mouse, Logitech indicates for example a life of two years for the battery, or the possibility of customizing the side buttons via the Logitech Options software.
Finally, if you want to opt for the most sober mouse from an ecological point of view, the graphite version is to be preferred. Logitech indicates that this color contains 64% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), against 26% for the other two colors.
Price and availability of the Signature M650
The different variants of the Logitech M650 will all be marketed at the single price of 44.99 euros. They will be available from January 17, 2022 on the manufacturer’s website.
