The Logitech G Gaminga portable console designed by the manufacturer of the same name and Tencent, leaked on Amazon’s Canadian platform, delivering some crisp details on the machine.

This is called a “tile”. A few hours before being officially unveiled at Logi Play 2022, the Logitech G Gaming made a remarkable appearance on the most famous and visited e-commerce platform on the planet: Amazon, on its Canadian version. And even if the pictures correspond to those which had themselves been broadcast at the end of August, the product page of the cloud gaming console tells us more about what the beauty has in its stomach.

A 7-inch Full HD screen

Under its false air of Switch, and if we therefore rely on the online page on Amazon Canada, we learn of a first release date: October 18, 2022. It is not certain, however, that the Logitech G Gaming is released on the same day in Europe. The PS5 was released a week earlier in North America compared to Europe, which serves as our case law.

What else do we add? Well, that the touch screen will offer us Full HD, in 1080p resolution more precisely, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The screen size reaches 7 inches, like the Nintendo OLED model Switch. With a weight of 463 grams, it is a little heavier than the Japanese console with Joy-Cons (398 g), but remains much lighter than the Steam Deck and its 669 g.

As for autonomy, the Amazon page hosted on the e-commerce giant’s Logitech G store promises us an operation of up to 12 hours, on a single charge. Dual-band Wi-Fi, a USB-C port and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity will also equip the console designed in collaboration with the Chinese giant Tencent.

A solid application environment

On the software part, the page confirms the integration of the GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming services (in beta, however, for the latter). There will also be other services accessible via the Google Play store, all, as you will have understood, on an adapted version of Android. It will also be possible to play games from your PC remotely, thanks to the Steam Link application. The Xbox app is also integrated.

In addition, the console supports haptic technology, to provide greater immersion to gamers through vibrations and other effects. It reports an integrated gyroscope, in addition to remappable controls. The rest is to be discovered very quickly.

The rumors end!

Let’s take a little leap into the future since the Amazon leaks didn’t last long. Indeed, an official press release fell in stride.
This is an opportunity to confirm several pieces of information such as the fact that the Logitech G Cloud Gaming does indeed have a 7-inch touch screen with Full HD definition, for a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Battery life is estimated at around twelve hours by the manufacturer. GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming services are of course supported (Wi-Fi connection required).

Finally, the console will be sold at 349.99 dollars and players who choose to pre-order it are entitled to an immediate discount of 50 dollars (i.e. a final price of 299.99 dollars). The launch will take place on October 18 in the United States. No date has been announced for the European market.
