With series like “Loki”, “Lupine”, “Sweet Tooth” or “Lisey’s Story”, fans of every genre pace are warmly invited to binge in June.

Whether master intrigue or master thief: In the series month of June, the two antiheroes from “Loki” (Disney +) and “Lupine” (Netflix) will make a name for themselves. But Amazon Prime Video, Sky, Apple TV + and good old television will also have some promising series on offer in the coming weeks. For example the Stephen King adaptation “Lisey’s Story” or the imaginative “Sweet Tooth”.

Disney +

Anyone who has even a little left for the Marvel universe and has already celebrated “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” cannot avoid “Loki”. In it, Thor’s cunning stepbrother, portrayed by Tom Hiddleston (40), is sent on a special TV trip. Since the events of “Avengers: Endgame” brought him into an alternative space-time structure, he is supposed to work in a bureaucratic facility to unravel the mess again – or it will be wiped out for good. Owen Wilson (52) and Richard E. Grant (64) can be seen in other roles, it starts on June 9th.

From June 18, the second season of “Love, Victor”, the follow-up series to the film “Love, Simon”, will also start on Disney +. Like the film, the series is set at Creekwood High School near Atlanta, Georgia. Student and title hero Victor, played by Michael Cimino (21), is not yet sure of his sexual orientation and likes boys as well as girls. At the end of the first season, however, he had acknowledged his homosexuality and entered into a relationship.

Netflix

With the French series “Lupine”, the streaming service Netflix had a surprise success at the beginning of the year. So it’s high time that master thief Assane Diop (Omar Sy, 43) goes on a rampage as spectacularly as possible. In the first five episodes of season one, he tried to solve the death of his father. In season two, which hits June 11, he’ll have even more reason to thirst for revenge. An exciting cliffhanger and kidnapping drama made sure of that.

Meanwhile, thanks to the new series “Sweet Tooth” from June 4th, it ends up in an imaginative post-apocalyptic world. For a better assessment: Its comic book of the same name is also often described as “Mad Max meets Bambi”. This is not surprising when you look at the child’s main character. Like the template, the Netflix original also revolves around the boy Gus – a rare hybrid of humans and animals. Before he knows it, the child with deer antlers is on an adventurous journey through the lawless new world.

Amazon Prime Video

With “Solos”, Amazon Prime Video will be sending the most well-known cast of actors to the start on June 25th. The anthology series, consisting of seven episodes, is dedicated in each episode to a different character on a different journey, which are somehow connected with one another. The stars in the sci-fi series “Solos” include Anne Hathaway (38), Morgan Freeman (83), Anthony Mackie (42) and Helen Mirren (75).

Sky

Don’t see David Schwimmer (54) as Ross from the sitcom “Friends”? That goes right from June 1st thanks to the British series “Intelligence” on Sky Comedy. As an agent for the US National Security Agency (NSA), Jerry Bernstein (Schwimmer) ends up in the UK’s anti-cybercrime agency. There he makes enemies quickly with his cocky manner among his colleagues. A second season has already been ordered.

The third season of the “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off “Mayans MC” is available from June 22nd via Sky Atlantic and Sky Ticket. Fans of the original will look forward to it twice, after all, there will also be a small comeback by Gemma Teller Morrow (“Al Bundy” star Katey Sagal, 67). For the biker drama it was recently announced that US broadcaster FX has commissioned a fourth season.

Apple TV +

It will be just as creepy as it is high-ranking on Apple TV +. The miniseries “Lisey’s Story” will take care of that from June 4th. It is a series adaptation of the book of the same name by Stephen King (73), which was published in Germany in 2006 under the name “Love”. In it, the widow of a famous writer, title character Lisey (Julianne Moore, 60), inevitably grapples with her dark past. Clive Owen (56) can be seen in retrospect as her late husband, who left her some clues before his death. To make matters worse, Lisey finally has to deal with a fanatical fan (Dane DeHaan, 35) of her husband who is willing to do anything to get the author’s unpublished works.

Free TV

There is also a highlight on free TV in June. The German premiere of the second season of “Bosch” will start on kabel eins on June 11th (from 11:15 pm). In it, Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver, 59) of the Los Angeles Police Department goes on a murder hunt in Hollywood again. In season two, the death of a porn film producer needs to be clarified.
