Season 2 of Loki doesn’t arrive until October 6, 2023 on Disney+, and she already has a record under her belt. The trailer for the series, unveiled on Monday, recorded 80 million views on Youtube during the first 24 hours of its broadcast. The highest score in a Marvel series.
An impressive record… to qualify
If the original trailer has indeed signed this impressive score, confirming the popularity of the series and the character, this result is to be put in perspective with the other programs of the streaming platform.
With 80 million views recorded in one day, season 2 of Loki actually does better than other Marvel series, Wanda Vision (53 million) and she hulk (78 million)… and even more than the Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi (58 million).
However, the figure remains below the score of Falcon and the Winter Soldierwhich had reached 125 million views on its trailer and its spot broadcast during the Super Bowl 2021. A result certainly combined and linked to a sporting event, but still.
Moreover, if Loki surpasses its Marvel colleagues, the teaser of The Mandalorian season 3 broadcast last March had recorded 83.5 million views in 24 hours.
To note that Loki remains to this day the most popular Marvel series on Disney+, with 5.23 billion minutes viewed, far ahead Wanda Vision (4.8 billion), and Falcon and the Winter Soldier (4.15 billion).
It is even the second most popular program on the entire streaming platform, behind The Mandalorian (14.52 billion combined in two seasons).
The series’ second season will see the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) once again team up with Mobius (Owen Wilson) to save the multiverse from the threat posed by a variation of Kang (Jonathan Majors).
A chase through time and space consisting of six new episodes, and broadcast from October 6, 2023 on Disney +.
